About the author
Stephen K. Postema is a graduate of Ann Arbor Schools, Harvard University, and the University of Wisconsin Law School. An Ann Arbor townie, born and raised.
He served as the Ann Arbor City Attorney from 2003 to 2022. He is a practicing lawyer, mediator, and writer and speaker on legal topics. He lives in the Old West Side house that he bought in 1988, with his Golden Retriever/Chow Chow mix, Coco.
The summer of 1976, he ran on every street in Ann Arbor, just because he wanted to.
